Teams meeting recordings are stored as MP4 files — in the recorder's OneDrive ("Recordings" folder) for regular meetings, or in the team's SharePoint for channel meetings. Download the file and upload it to Trustample; the speech is transcribed straight from the video.
Teams' built-in transcription depends on your Microsoft 365 license and admin policies, and editing its output is clumsy. Trustample needs no admin approval, no license tier, and produces a transcript you can correct word-by-word, summarize with AI, and export in five formats.
How it works
- 1In Teams, open the meeting chat → the recording → download the MP4 (or grab it from OneDrive's Recordings folder).
- 2Upload the MP4 to Trustample.
- 3Correct anything misheard, generate an AI summary, export DOCX or PDF minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
I can't find my Teams recording. Where is it?
For normal scheduled meetings it's in the OneDrive of whoever pressed record, inside a folder named "Recordings". Channel meetings save to the channel's SharePoint document library instead. The meeting chat also links to it.
Our IT department disabled Teams transcription. Does this still work?
Yes — Trustample only needs the MP4 file, not any Teams feature. If you can download the recording, you can transcribe it. (Follow your company's data-handling policies for meeting content, of course.)
Can it handle a 2-hour all-hands recording?
Yes. Free covers files up to 30 minutes; Basic up to 3 hours per file; Pro up to 6 hr 40 min. A 2-hour recording transcribes in minutes on Basic or Pro.
Will speakers be labeled?
Yes, on every paid plan: speaker diarization labels voices as Speaker 1, Speaker 2 and so on, and you can rename them ("Priya", "CFO") — the labels update through the whole transcript.
