Trustample transcribes 16 spoken languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Chinese (Mandarin), Arabic, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Turkish and Indonesian. Output is always native script — kanji for Japanese, Cyrillic for Russian, Arabic script for Arabic — never a romanized approximation.
Two habits get the best result in any language: set the spoken language explicitly before uploading (auto-detect can misfire on quiet or casual recordings), and add names, companies and technical terms to the vocabulary box — proper nouns are the words every model misses first. One honest exception: the vocabulary box is not yet supported for Arabic and Filipino uploads (fix names inline in the editor instead). On Pro, any of these languages can also be translated to English in the same upload, with both versions stored side by side.

Which languages does Trustample transcribe?

How accurate is transcription in non-English languages?
Major European languages (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese) and Japanese typically reach the mid-to-high 90s percent on clear audio — comparable to English. Korean, Arabic and most other supported languages land around 85–95%. Audio quality moves the number more than language choice.
Can a recording be transcribed in one language and read in another?
Yes — on Pro, tick 'Translate transcript to English' at upload and the job returns both the native transcript and an English translation, stored together so each can be checked against the other.
What about languages not listed here?
We only offer languages our engine genuinely supports — every one above is verified against the transcription engine before we list it, several with real ground-truth audio tests. If your language isn't listed, we'd rather say so than let an upload fail: check back, as the supported list grows.
