Do I need to convert my video to audio first?
No. Upload the MP4 directly — the speech is read from the video container automatically. MOV, WEBM and most other common video formats work the same way.
Can I get subtitles instead of a plain transcript?
Yes — export as SRT or VTT and you get correctly time-coded subtitle files that import directly into Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, YouTube Studio and web video players.
How long does a 1-hour video take to transcribe?
Typically a few minutes. Transcription runs in the background, so you can keep the tab open and the transcript opens automatically when ready.
Does video resolution affect transcription?
Not at all — only the audio track matters. A blurry 240p recording transcribes exactly as well as 4K, as long as the speech is audible.
My MP4 has background music under the speech. Will it transcribe?
Usually, yes — clear speech over moderate music transcribes well. Heavily produced video where music competes with dialog is the honest hard case; expect more inline corrections there than with plain talking.
Can I transcribe an MP4 on my phone?

An honest note: Long MP4s are mostly picture data you're paying upload time for — a two-hour 1080p recording can be gigabytes while its audio is a small fraction of that.
