Can I paste a TikTok link instead of uploading?
No — Trustample transcribes files you upload, never links, and it's built for content you own. For your own TikToks you always have the file: the original from your editor or camera roll, or your posted video saved from your own account.
Does it transcribe TikTok audio and voiceovers?
Spoken audio in your video — talking-head, voiceover, dialogue — transcribes well. Music and song lyrics don't transcribe reliably (that's true of every speech model), and lyrics carry their own rights anyway. If your video is voiceover on top of a trending sound, expect the voiceover, not the sound.
TikTok already auto-captions videos — why generate a transcript?
Auto-captions live only on the platform and can't be fixed once they're wrong. A transcript is yours: correct a name once, export it as caption files for any editor, reuse the text as a script or post, and search your whole library later. Captions serve the viewer; the transcript serves you.
My saved video has a watermark — does that matter?
Not for transcription — the watermark is visual and the audio track is untouched, so the transcript is identical. For reposting elsewhere, the original file from your editor is still the better source.
Can I transcribe someone else's viral TikTok?
Only if you have the rights or the creator's permission — and Trustample won't fetch anyone's content regardless. If you need a quote from another creator's video, ask them; most will happily share a line with credit.
