Is WAV better than MP3 for transcription?
Slightly, yes — WAV is uncompressed, so nothing of the speech signal is lost. In practice a clean MP3 transcribes nearly identically; the recording environment matters far more than the format.
My WAV file is huge. Will it upload?

Can I transcribe multi-channel (stereo) WAV recordings?
Yes. Stereo recordings are transcribed as a single conversation, and speaker separation labels the voices it hears — on every paid plan. Note that it separates voices by how they sound, not by which channel they're on, so a per-channel split isn't something you configure.
What export formats are available?

Do 24-bit or 96 kHz studio WAVs work?
Yes — high bit depths and sample rates upload and transcribe fine. Speech recognition doesn't gain anything above standard rates, so there's no need to re-record or convert; the engine simply reads what's there.
Can I try WAV transcription without paying?
Yes — the free plan includes 60 minutes each month with files up to 30 minutes / 50 MB, which fits several typical WAV recordings. Note that uncompressed audio hits the 50 MB cap sooner than MP3 does — a few minutes of stereo WAV is already tens of megabytes.
An honest note: The format's honesty problem is size, not sound: WAV is uncompressed, so files balloon fast and upload slowly on modest connections. Converting to FLAC (lossless) or M4A first shrinks the upload dramatically with no meaningful transcription difference — worth it for anything longer than a few minutes on the free plan's 50 MB cap.
